9. Special Days
Special days may be holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, the day of your loved ones passing, special times you shared, and traditions held. These days can be hard days because they bring up the memories and fact that our loved one is not here present with us.
Special days do not have to look the way they always did. There is a new way to do these special days that can include traditions held with your loved one, and new things you add or change to make the day a bit different.
You are not betraying your loved one’s memory by adapting traditions—you are honoring their memory in a new way. You are acknowledging that life has changed while still making space for love, connection, and meaning.
